STEPS

How many steps did you take today? The world at one point and even still has become obsessed with steps.  I gotta get in my 10,000 steps.  I didn’t walk enough today.  I have to accomplish 50,000 steps this week and the silent mental thought list goes on.  So, how many steps have you taken today?

I started writing this article on the 5th of November.  I’ve come back to it today, the 7th of November.  

Steps.

Just Keep Going!! This is the affirmation that has been so imbedded within that, at times, it releases itself into my soul automatically seemingly at the times that I need it the most.  Sometimes we ask ourselves, ‘Self, what’s it all for?  Why do you continue to do ‘that’, day in and day out?  Why do you continue?

Steps.  

Steps are defined as a rest for the foot in ascending or descending; an advance or movement made by raising the foot and bringing it down elsewhere. The space passed over in one step. A short distance. COURSE. WAY. A degree, grade, or rank in a scale.  A stage in a process.  In harmony or agreement.  STEP OUT. ADVANCE.  PROCEED. To be on one’s way. LEAVE. SET.  PERFORM.  STEP UP.  TO STAMP.

Whether you’re trying to go up, down, advance, move, step out, proceed, leave, harmonize, pass through the stages of a said process, all of these verbs require A STEP. Just One Step.  One step, according to the definition takes you from where you were to another place.  Once step. 

As I said, I started this article on the 5th because that’s when it was supposed to be posted.  I took a step.  It didn’t quite land me where I wanted to be which was a completed article for me and for you, my reader family, but it took me from a blank page to black letters. And just one more step took me to the 7th, today, completing what I began.

Is there room for improvement? Yes! But, One Step At A Time is what is called Improvement.  Discipline. Growth

He loves when we take a step!!  So, how many steps have you taken today? However great or small rejoice! For the work has begun!

SHIFT

Today.  Beautiful Breeze blowing.  Evening settling upon us.  The day is cooling, preparing for the shift of the night sky.  I’m looking forward to it actually. Sunset, early evening is my favorite part of the day. Completion. That’s what this time of day signifies to me.  Another day completed, successfully.  Still in one piece.  Tired, yes!  Long day, Yes!  But I was able to experience it as were you and for THAT, I’m Grateful.  How about you? SHIFT. Did God Really Say??

Approaching the end of the year and I don’t know about you, but it has been some kind of year! Although we give thanks in every situation, can we talk about it?  Today is November 27, 2025, 5:10pm.  It was a really long day for me; even though the days and nights seem shorter only because they seem like run on sentences these days.  This too shall pass.   I’m learning the realities of warfare and how much we encounter it sometimes even without our knowing.  For me, I’m thinking about how many times in my life I thought I was just having a bad day when really, now looking back at it, there was heavy warfare going on!! Sometime in our sojourn here on this earth, in this world, sticking and staying can be the hardest part.
