DON'T THINK
DON'T THINK 🤔 😕 😏
I was out on a walk with a Dear, Friend of mine in Miami, Florida one morning. As we walked the circular trail, there was a couple we repetitively passed. They were vibrant; seemingly care-free. This infectious air they carried ushered us into a greeting. "You look so Good", my friend exclaimed once she found out the man's age; Somewhere around 60 something. He went on to talk about some of the things that he engages in to maintain himself.
He then gave us this look...like, let me level with these people, kind of a look. "You really want to know what I do?"he asked. Yes! We replied eagerly.
I DON'T THINK!!! I Don't!
He continued to explain why. 'The stress, the worry. So I've decided to just leave it all alone.' This man decided to live and let die!
Well, needless to say, we stood there, looking at one another like, HUH!??!
This story is REAL!
I wasn't thinking about this event at all, but as I sat here writing a totally different entry, I was reminded of this. My thoughts took me on a mental merry-go-round just to show me a simile, make a point, and then wrap it all up in a nice bow. 🎀
The other day, I sat with my Mentor, and he explained to me what The Kingdom of God is like as a citizen. You know what he said? Guess? Yes!!
WE DON'T THINK!!! 😮😝😮
WoW! Ok. Alright. As I meditated and searched out his words, I dropped anchor in the Truth that The Kingdom of God is, indeed, FULL of Children and Fools! And I was being challenged to BECOME ONE; A Child and A Fool! Wrecklessly Trust and Foolishly Abandon!
I sat there feeling and watching My 'Self' fidget, and, in both an audible and silent expression, my uncomfortability, lack of understanding, and resistance began to manifest. "This is a Hard Teaching. Who can accept it?" I thought. (John 6:60-71)
So, if I'm not thinking, Who or What is doing it for me?
Don't think, Just Follow Me. (John 1:43) Don't pack anything. It'll be provided. (Luke 9:3) Don't say goodbye. Just come away with me. (Luke 9:61, 62) How many of us would? How many of us could? How many of us have?
Just Do It? Just done it?
We love the Nike slogan, Just Do It! and, we love their shoes, but how many of us Just Do...Follow Through when The King says, "To Choose." (Joshua 24:15) It (the choice) will defy you and all your wise
It will reveal you, The True that lives on the inside.
Are you BIG enough to BECOME Small?Wise enough to choose your own demise?
DON'T THINK, But DO COUNT!
Count the Cost to Become NO Boss! A Fool and a Child. This is the inheritance, or should I say, the pre-requisite for Kingdom Entry, Kingdom Citizenship. How many of us can Truly, Truly say, Yes!? All the promises 'IN HIM' are Yes and Amen and to Become like a Child is one of them. He said, *'Unless you CHANGE and BECOME like little children, you will NEVER enter The Kingdom of Heaven.'* (Matthew 18:3)
We all want heaven, but how many of us, In Heart, live and walk daily in this promise requirement of The King? We like to name, claim, and take the promises of God that seem pleasing to our natural existence; that seems to be of some benefit to our natural lives in the now.
Sadly, though, we, at times, ignorantly neglect and reject the proper application of His promises which results in the lack of prosperity to our very Souls. We 'think' we can vice verse His formula, but 'will a man rob God'? (Malachi 3:8)
To think or not to think? This is the question. Jesus said 3 times, 'take no thought'. "I say unto you, Take no thought for your life , what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor for your body, what you will put on. Is not THE life more than meat and the body more than clothing? Therefore, take no thought for your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. Take therefore no thought for tomorrow: for tomorrow will take thought for itself. (Matthew 6:24-34)
So, what will we do? What should we do? I think we should follow instructions and he'll see us through. Don't Think. Just Obey. Become like Children and Follow The Way.
"But Seek First The Kingdom of God, and HIS Righteousness; and all these things will be added unto you." (Matthew 6:33)
